As you stroll along the Museum Mile between the Wellcome Museum and the British Library, enter the vast atrium of the modern UNISON Centre on the North side of the Euston Road and simply bear left into the main ground floor rooms of the hospital where the permanent exhibition is located. Once inside, experience the ‘domestic’ nature of the original building and its comforting welcome to women.
EGA for Women in partnership with UNISON has restored the Elizabeth Garrett Hospital for Women to its full Victorian splendour. Central to this beautiful building with its many original late nineteenth century features is the Elizabeth Garrett Anderson Gallery which is freely available to the public as a state of the art Gallery.
